LONDON BOOK FESTIVAL ISSUES "WRIT OF MANDAMUS" TOP HONORS

London (January 1, 2012) - Rick Robinson's political thriller "Writ of Mandamus" has been named the grand prize winner of the London Book Festival, which honors the best of international publishing.

Robinson's fourth novel, which will be published later this year by Headline Books Inc., weaves from Washington, DC to the countryside of Ireland, following Congressman Richard Thompson and the CIA as they chase Middle Eastern conflict and Kentucky horses. Its page-turning prose and intriguing plot makes it an instant classic in Robinson.s series and promises to be optioned for other media.

Winners and honorable mentions in the competition will be honored at a dinner held January 26, 2012 in London.

Manifest Destiny Wins Best Fiction at New York Book Festival

Terra Alta - Manifest Destiny, new novel by political thriller author Rick Robinson, takes two more national awards this week! A Win for Best Fiction in the prestigious New York Book Festival competition and an Honorable Mention at the Beach Book Festival continue the acclaim his newest novel has generated.

Also named Winner for Best Fiction at the Paris Book Festival, Finalist for Best Fiction Indie Next Generation Book Awards, Finalist for Best Thriller Indie Excellence Book Awards and Honorable Mention for Best Fiction at the San Francisco Book Festival.

Robinson just returned from New York and a round of book signings at the New York Times airport bookstore and Book Expo America at the Jacob Javits Convention Center last week. Featured in the Author Autographing Area along with Bernadette Peters, R. L. Stein and Sarah Ferguson, Robinson had some of the longest lines of fans on the floor.

"Rick's popularity continues to soar," said Headline Books president Cathy Teets. "Rick did several media interviews at BEA including Sirius Radio. Mary Osbourne's Nonna's Book of Mysteries was announced overall winner of the annual competition The Paris Book Festival honors the best of international publishing.

    Manifest Destiny is Robinson's third novel in a series of riveting award winning political thrillers.
